AREA INFORMATION
You won’t find better accommodation so close and convenient to the many things to do and see in Cape Town. Top restaurants, coffee and grocery shops, and a supermarket are all within a short and safe walking distance. If you love colonial history, the District Six Museum and Cape Town City Hall offer fine examples of local architectural and artefacts – a mere 5 minute drive into town.
If you’re looking to take it easy, Cape Town is famous for its beaches. In less than 20 minutes, you could be lying on the white sands of Camps Bay or Clifton – some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. From the scenic slopes of Lion’s Head and Signal Hill, a rail car will take the more adventurous up to the top of Table Mountain providing a stunning view of the Cape Peninsula. Literally around the corner, this area provides great hiking and walking trails, breathtaking views and unbeatable photo opportunities.
For something offshore, Robben Island (the prison that held the great Nelson Mandela for almost 30 years) can be accessed via ferries that leave hourly from the waterfront. With the Victoria and Alfred (V&A) Waterfront a close 10 minutes drive away, you may consider making a day of this while shopping and dining at the many top quality stores and restaurants there. Closer to town, Greenmarket Square also provides a great selection of African handicrafts and wears.
And, when it’s time for you to unfortunately leave us, the Cape Town International Airport is quick 20 minute drive away.
